Blade, the helicopter charter company, was founded 10 years ago as a way for commuters going between New York and the Hamptons to avoid vehicle traffic. This May it is introducing a new service, the Hamptons Streamliner, that, starting at $195 a ticket, will take passengers to destinations on eastern Long Island aboard … a bus. Like Blade’s helicopters, seats on which start at $1,025, its buses are marketed as a luxurious option for Hamptons-goers. Seats can recline up to 45 degrees and passengers will be offered free refreshments like espresso martinis, PopUp Bagels and Sweetgreen salads as they make their way from Manhattan to stops in Southampton, Bridgehampton and East Hampton via the Long Island Expressway.

Mary Morton, a 99-year-old retired assistant principal in the Bronx, N.Y., wanted to live long enough to watch Melanie Renee White, her granddaughter, walk down the aisle with her then longtime boyfriend, Andrew R. Trotter. “I hope my eyes are still open by the time y’all get married,” she told Ms. White while the couple was dating. On Feb. 22, Ms. Morton’s eyes were fixed on her granddaughter, 37, and Mr. Trotter, 38, as she led their ceremonial celebration at Secret Gardens Miami, an event space in Homestead, Fla.“She just wanted to see it happen so bad,” said Ms. White, who had legally married Mr. Trotter on Jan. 18 at Philadelphia City Hall. “It was just an honor to have her do it.”

As a personal assistant to a well-to-do retiree, Nora Szigeti is tasked with much of the usual fare: managing a calendar, booking travel, running errands. But after her 70-year-old boss recently came across an Instagram post shared by the account Class of Palm Beach, which documents outfits people have worn around that wealthy town, she took on another duty: publicist. “My boss would be a perfect person for your site,” Ms. Szigeti, 50, recalled writing in a message to the account in November. Soon after, her employer, Oblio Wish, appeared in a video shared by Class of Palm Beach, in which she showed off her wardrobe full of items from Dior, Gucci and Chanel. Its accounts on those three platforms now have a combined audience of more than one million followers.

Simpson stood trial for murder. “We bought a ‘Dream Team’ shirt for my dad,” Ms. Clary said, using a phrase adopted as a nickname for Mr. Simpson’s lawyers. “I got a ‘Free the Juice’ button,” she added, using a nickname for Mr. Simpson, who was found not guilty. Ms. Clary said they didn’t buy the products as a way to communicate opinions on the trial. The merchandise was meant to commemorate an event that she described as “such a big part of pop culture.”
